The Saratoga County community gave their final goodbyes this weekend to a Shenendehowa teen who inspired people far and wide.

Services were held Saturday for Jacob Monday at the Gordon Emerick Funeral Home in Clifton Park.

Monday passed away last weekend from terminal cancer.

The teen was first diagnosed in 2016.

He decided to end treatment and cross items off his bucket list.

The Jacob's Wishes group was started to help, and some of his dreams came true.

Jacob was able to meet up with his favorite Hollywood star, Chris Pratt.

He was given a special graduation ceremony by Shenendehowa High School in April.

The group's organizers say although Jacob's loss is heartbreaking, they're happy they could do even the smallest things to give back to someone who made such an impact on their lives.

“We came together 105 days ago to create Jacob’s Wishes to help all his wishes come true and we were amazed with the community support and it went way above what we anticipated it to be,” said Stephanie Bowen, Jacob's Wishes organizer.

Spectrum News was told Jacob's final wish was to make sure his family will always be taken care of — and Jacob's Wishes says they're going to keep the group going to help with that final wish.
