Jacob Monday, the 16-year-old Shenendehowa High School student who battled terminal bone cancer, has died.

Monday was diagnosed with terminal osteosarcoma in late 2016 and inspired the community with his relentless determination and strength.

The teenager remained enthusiastic and full of life throughout his battle, even catching the attention of one of his heroes, movie star Chris Pratt.

As part of his bucket list, Monday walked across the graduation stage at Shenendehowa High School in April, fulfilling a dream of being a graduate.

The news of Jacob's death was announced on 'Jacob's Wishes' group on Facebook this morning:

"He is finally at peace. There was no one stronger - no one more of a super hero."

We know Jacob's legacy will continue to be felt in the Shenendehowa community and beyond.
