1. Gianaris: Law change amid $25M Cuomo legal fees 'the right thing to do'

A top Democrat in the state Legislature on Thursday said he'll fight to sway lawmakers to limit how much taxpayer money should cover the legal defense costs of state employees as New Yorkers foot the multi-million-dollar bill for the ongoing legal battles plaguing former Gov. Piece by piece, workers at the Port of Coeymans are constructing the foundation of what will be New York state’s largest offshore wind farm. Sunrise Wind is a 924-megawatt project off the southern coast of Long Island that will help power about 600,000 homes.
