1. Air Quality Health Advisory issued across N.Y. state for Monday

Officials say the air quality will likely to be unhealthy for sensitive groups. Even if it is not as visible as it was in previous weeks, state officials are asking those groups to be cautious when outside.

2. Hochul requests federal disaster declaration to aid flooding recovery efforts

The funding would aid cleanup efforts in Albany, Clinton, Dutchess, Essex, Hamilton, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland and Westchester counties, with the governor’s office saying additional counties could be added as damage assessment continues around the state.

3. Tonko on why a federal rule change will deliver for patient care

U.S. Representative Paul Tonko joined JoDee Kenney to talk about what additional funding would mean for hospitals in his district and throughout New York. Tonko said recalculating the wage index from $0.85 on the dollar to $1.22 would provide $180 million to hospitals in the Capital Region alone.
