1. Hamas says it has accepted cease-fire proposal

Hamas says it has accepted an Egyptian-Qatari cease-fire proposal to halt a seven-month war with Israel. The militant group issued a statement Monday saying its supreme leader, Ismail Haniyeh, had delivered the news in a phone call with Qatar’s prime minister and Egypt’s intelligence minister.

2. Could NYC and Lake Placid partner for an Olympic bid?

Lake Placid’s dreams of co-hosting the 2026 Olympic Games with Italy took a big hit recently, as the home country announced it planned to build its own sled track in time for the games. However, all the work Lake Placid put into a bid for that opportunity will not go to waste. New York State’s Olympic Village now has its eyes set on something bigger, teaming up with the big city to host the games on their own.

3. New $50 million modernization project set for Genesee Brewery, Hochul says  

Rochester's Genesee Brewery is set to undergo a $50 million modernization project, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Monday. New York state has offered a $7 million grant to Genesee’s parent company to help with the upgrades. The company says it plans to create up to 57 new jobs over the next two years and retain hundreds in the city.

4. UAlbany, RPI, Union men's lacrosse teams head to postseason, will host openers

Riding the wave of an America East tournament championship, the University at Albany men earned a first-round NCAA Division I tournament matchup with Sacred Heart at home on Wednesday. In Division III, both RPI and Union have earned national tournament berths.

6. Live Updates: Trump held in contempt again at hush money trial, judge threatens jail time

The judge presiding over former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial has fined him an additional $1,000 for again violating a gag order barring him from making inflammatory comments about witnesses and jurors. Judge Juan M. Merchan warned on Monday that additional gag order violations could potentially result in jail time.
