Sometimes it's best to just let the player himself describe his game.
Here's what Clemson CB Andrew Booth had to say at the NFL Combine in early March.
"Definitely my instincts, my athleticism, ball skills, speed, and I'm ferocious," Booth explained. "I feel like when it's time to attack, I'm there."
His tape with the Tigers backs that up.
He played 35 games with 15 starts over three years, with 5 interceptions and 10 pass breakups, earning 2nd team All-ACC in 2020 and 1st team in 2021.
His size fits what most NFL teams are looking for, standing 6 feet tall and 194 lbs with 31 1/2" arms.
Still, the sample size is somewhat small and there are times it seems Booth isn't at his best.
"Not that I went in underestimating anybody, but you just got to be on it every play," Booth said. "Like you just got to be on it every play, which I am. I try and have that tenacity every play, but it happens to the best. I can't really tell you everything that went down and why it went down like that because I know the type of player I am. I guess it just happens to the best."
Booth recently had sports hernia surgery and didn't participate in any field work at the Combine or Clemson's Pro Day, so there's numbers such as a 40 time for teams to see.
He is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Booth is a projected 1st round pick.
