Memorial Day is a day set aside for Americans to remember the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who gave their life in defense of our country.
As we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, we also recognize so many Americans who are veterans of the armed services.
Here in Florida, the Sunshine State is home to more than 1.4 million veterans.
What new initiatives are proposed and in place, both at the federal and the state level, to help our veterans? Has it become easier or more difficult for veterans to receive health care services? What are the employment prospects for veterans? And are we “doing enough” for those that answered the call of duty?
