There's always plenty to do in Ohio over the weekend, but Spectrum News 1 gathered some of the highlights around each major metropolitan area across the state.

Cleveland

Cleveland Marathon

2025 Cleveland Asian Festival

  • When and where: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 17-18 in AsiaTown 
  • Info: Celebrate Asian culture again this year during the Cleveland Asian Festival, where you can shop, grab some food, participate in activities and more

Columbus

Buckeye Lake Piratefest

  • When and where: May 16-18. There will be markets at the Harbor Community Center, located at 5312 Walnut Road in Buckeye Lake, and at the North Shore Market, located at 11175 Hebron Road in Buckeye Lake
  • Info: Pirates need not beware this event, which features multiple pirate marketplaces and even a weekend treasure hunt

50th Delaware Arts Festival

  • When and where: 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 17 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 18 in dowtown Delaware, Ohio
  • Info: Enjoy food, entertainment and, of course, art at this two-day event downtown

Cincinnati

Covington Maifest 2025

  • When and where: 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 16, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 17 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 18 at Goebel Park, located at 526 Philadelphia St. in Covington, Kentucky
  • Info: Whether you're looking for German food, dancing, bee or activities for the kids, there's plenty of fun for the family waiting at this festival

Women's Wine & Chocolate Walk 2025

  • When and where: 12 to 6 p.m. May 17 in downtown Middletown with check-in at The Windamere, located at 2 South Main St. 
  • Cost: Ticket prices vary, see website for details
  • Info: A ladies 21+ event, this is your opportuninity to try out various chocolates and wines. This year's theme is a vacation cruise, so dress accordingly

Dayton

2025 Furry Skurry 5k Run

  • When and where: 8 a.m. May 17 at St. Leonard, located at 8100 Clyo Road in Centerville
  • Cost: General registration is $40 and a $4.15 sign-up fee
  • Info: This 5k is presented by the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, and in addition to getting a good exercise you'll also have the chance to help save the lives of thousands of animals

Springfield Antique Show & Flea Market Extravaganza

  • When and where: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 16, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18
  • Cost: General Admission is $10
  • Info: This event boasts more than 2,000 vendors and more than 20,000 customers at their twice-a-year extravaganza versions of the show. Whatever you're looking for, chances are you'll find something interesting among the many antiques and other goods on display

Toledo

Toledo Tattoo Festival

  • When and where: 12p.m. to 10 p.m. May 16, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. May 17 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 18 at Glass City Center, located at 401 Jefferson Ave. in Toledo
  • Cost: Single day pass is $25, three day pass is $50
  • Info: Check out more than 200 tattoo artists, get some merhandise or even some ink at this three-day event

Toledo Zoo Dart Frog Dash

  • When and where: May 17 (5k run at 8:30 a.m., Zoo For All Walk at 9 a.m. and kids fun run at 9:45 a.m.), start locations vary so see website for details
  • Cost: 5k run/walk is $33, Kids fun run is $13 and the Zoo For All Walk is $20
  • Info: Whichever race you choose to run, your admission and parking is included, so consider getting those extra steps in before a dat at the zoo. The 5k race also features prizes
