WILMINGTON, N.C. -- It's been four months since Hurricane Florence devastated the coast and people are still seeking help.
Saturday, 25 coastal organizations and residents gathered to share their stories and struggles. Organizers say it was a good way for people to get help.
Debra Dicks-Maxwell, president of the New Hanover County NAACP says the organizers knew how much people needed this summit.
"It's important for people to have some place to come to understand that they are not alone, to understand that they are still other resources while people are still at the lowest part of the hierarchy. A lot of people's needs have still not been met," she said.
If you couldn't attend the summit, you can find additional resources and contacts you may need on their website.
