Many folks who attend Cape Fear Presbyterian Church are just getting back on their feet from the storm and having their service back in their sanctuary.
Pastor Jonathan Watson says, thankfully, insurance covered the majority of the damage. He says the congregation really grew closer together over the past year.
"Through that period, we certainly understood that the church is more than a building; it's the congregation. It's the people. It's the mission of the church," the pastor said.
The church will hold a re-dedication during their homecoming events Sunday, September 29.
