Storms that rolled across North Carolina Tuesday afternoon and evening produced strong wind gusts in some areas.

The National Weather Service received a few dozen reports of wind damage in the state, mainly across the central part. Damage was mostly to trees, some of which fell into power lines. A tree also fell onto a house in Creedmoor, and the wind caused roof damage to an apartment building in Knightdale.
