The first cold front brought showers and chillier air to North Carolina on Wednesday and Thursday. Now a second cold front will bring even colder air to the state for tonight and Friday.

Our forecast will be mostly clear for tonight with colder overnight lows. Many areas will see lows near freezing on Friday morning. Even with lots of sunshine on Friday, daytime highs will stay about 8 to 10 degrees below normal. And it was breezy on Thursday and will continue to be breezy through the night and into the day on Friday.

That means we'll be dealing with a wind chill tonight and Friday. We will especially feel that "chill" with those cold temperatures on Friday morning.

Temperatures will moderate a bit this weekend.
