NORTH CAROLINA -- After a windy day Saturday that featured some showers (even snow in the mountains) over the western half of the Carolinas, everyone from mountains to the coast will get to enjoy some pretty nice Easter Sunday weather.

  • Look for a partly cloudy sky overhead with highs a bit below average for this time of year
  • A big warm-up will continue over the next few days with plenty of sunshine Monday and Tuesday, and highs getting a good bit above average by Tuesday
  • Look for Tuesday and Wednesday's highs to top out in the low to mid 80s around the foothills, piedmont, and much of the coast with 70s for highs in the mountains and Outer Banks

A few storms will likely begin to creep into the region by Thursday and especially Friday. Following that, it remains to be seen whether or not that system will completely clear the area for the upcoming weekend.
