Bradshaw and his co-creator, Nate Norrell, secured $1 million and a paid trip to New Orleans for the big game on Feb. 9, they announced on the TODAY show.

Bradshaw and Norrell entered the competition with their submission called “Abduction.” Their commercial was one of over 2,000 submissions that was chosen as a finalist. “Abduction” then won a public vote against two other commercials for the grand prize.

The short video features a computer worker lounging by his desk when a UFO comes to steal his bag of Doritos. After a hard fight, the worker gives in and shares the snacks with the alien.

Bradshaw told Carson Daly on The TODAY Show that the inspiration for the commercial came from directors Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, but overall, they were trying to make something they love.

“Today is one of the greatest days of our lives, and it’s all because YOU ALL showed up and voted for us, supported us, and encouraged us to chase our wildest dreams,” Bradshaw said on Instagram after they were announced winners.

“All of our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
