Summer is quickly approaching, and with it, new destinations out of Wilmington International Airport. JetBlue recently announced it will offer seasonal, daily nonstop service to Boston Logan International Airport starting April 30.

The airline will fly their A220 jets, which offer wider seats, improved tech and in-flight entertainment, a step up for the low-cost air carrier.

Dave Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue, said the addition will open even more options for Wilmington residents.

“[It] also connects Wilmington travelers to JetBlue’s broader focus city network, offering seamless travel opportunities to destinations across the U.S. and beyond,” Jehn said.

JetBlue will offer 77 nonstop destinations from BOS this summer. American, Avelo, Breeze, Delta, JetBlue, Sun Country and United airlines currently offer commercial air service to southeastern North Carolina through ILM.

Other destinations the airline announced in the release included Traverse City, Michigan, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Norfolk Virginia and San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
