After wins in North Carolina's Super Tuesday primaries, Democrat Josh Stein and Republican Mark Robinson are set to face off in the race for the state's next governor.

Both Robinson and Stein were seen as frontrunners in their party nomination contests.

As Super Tuesday wrapped up, some races were still too close to call. The Republican contests for lieutenant governor and two congressional races looked to be headed to possible second elections to pick nominees.
