Snow coated North Carolina's mountains over the long weekend and continued to fall Tuesday.
Some areas, like Banner Elk and Beech Mountain, saw over a foot of snow. While other spots, like Sugar Mountain, still got a good amount and saw well over half a foot of snow.
Arctic air is also expected to pour into the state, and temperatures will drop into single digits.
