CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Delta flight experiencing mechanical issues landed with its nose gear up at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Wednesday morning. There were 101 people onboard.
The Boeing 717 was coming from Atlanta, where it departed at 7:25 a.m., and stopped safely in Charlotte along Runway 36 Left at 8:58 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA says no one was injured.

The flight, Delta 1092, had 96 customers, two pilots and three flight attendants, according to airline officials.
Passengers returned to the terminal around 10 a.m., Charlotte airport officials say. Airport staff closed the runway for several hours and worked to remove the plane. The runway reopened around 7 p.m., according to the airport.
Delta released the following statement Wednesday:
“Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people. While this is a rare occurrence, Delta flight crews train extensively to safely manage through many scenarios and flight 1092 landed safely without reported injuries. We apologize to our customers for their experience.”
The FAA is investigating the mechanical issue.
