A large fire broke out Thursday morning at a construction site near Charlotte's SouthPark area, and 15 people, including a crane operator, were rescued as crews battled the blaze. 

Smoke quickly clouded the area, creating respiratory issues for some as multiple agencies went to the scene to contain the massive fire.
