Food Truck Frenzy hosts food courts

The group was added to The High Point Holiday Festival Parade

It was the first food court at the parade

A group called Food Truck Frenzy hosted a food court during the annual parade on November 20. It was the first for High Point.

The group's founder Karen Atkinson is also the owner of The Kid In Me Tasty Treats food truck.

“We actually do pop-ups in the neighborhood," Atkinson said.

It's a Black-owned family business that opened this year in High Point.

She said her passion for the food truck business is what drove her to make this year's parade extra sweet.

"Food vendors, mobile food vendors," Atkinson said. "Caters and bakers. Just people that really have the passion and skill to make some delicious food.”

The group also plans to host the food court at the Winston-Salem Jaycees Holiday Parade on December 3.
