GREENSBORO, N.C. — A teen is launching a clothing line to raise funds for aviation flight training.

Over the past year, 14-year-old Aleiah Martin has logged nine hours at several airports, including North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

"I've flown in Orlando, Fayetteville, Stanley Valley and Atlanta," Martin said. Martin launched apparel line ABM Adventures.

She says her goal is to raise awareness of inclusion in the aviation field.

"I wanted to do something that was out of the box," Martin said. "And not a lot of Black women are interested in aviation, or have the opportunity to do anything in aviation because of the prices."

Martin was accepted at the T.W. Andrews Aviation Academy in April. She will continue her flight training at UP Aviation in the last week of July.

Her goal is to earn her private pilot's license before graduating high school.
