A winter storm affected North Carolina for the second weekend in a row, bringing more wintry precipitation, hazardous road conditions and power outages. Icy patches remained a concern in some areas Monday morning after melted snow and ice had the potential to refreeze overnight.
Last week, Gov. Roy Cooper declared another state of emergency for North Carolina.
While western and central portions of the state saw the heaviest impacts from the previous storm, much of the wintry weather from this system was felt in the eastern part of the state.
