  • Sugar Mountain Owner Kim Jochl says it has been one of their best years yet

  • Snowboarders and skiers headed up to get their last rides down the mountain before the season ends

The resort did have a lot of protocols to follow, but she says that didn't stop guests from coming down and enjoying the weather on the slopes.

She admits going into the season they were worried, but it went smoothly.

Snowboarders agree it was a much needed break during the pandemic.

"You can space out a little bit more than being out in the city. It's just nice to get out in nature. It's a nice beak," Charlotte resident Jeremiah Nance says.

The resort plans to do upgrades and start preparing for next year after this season ends. One replacement will include the resort's green lift, which was built in 1969.
