ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina organization is working to foster relationships between minority communities and law enforcement.
Leaders from a program called ACT, Actively Changing Together, held a "Closing the Law Enforcement Gap Awareness and Career Fair."
Organizers say the goal is to foster healthy relationships in the community.
“Young kids, especially in the minority communities, but really all kids,” says Michael Graves, ACT founder. “To make sure that young people have a positive viewpoint when it comes to their local law enforcement agencies.”
Organizers from ACT also plan to host a youth camp this summer.
