MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A family of four is using their musical talents to capture the attention of North Carolinians who are out doing their holiday shopping. In return, they’re asking for donations to help pay for rent and groceries.

Joe Falzone stopped to listen to the music. When he approached the family to leave a donation, he learned that they had several things in common.

They’re both from Italy, speak Italian, and play the violin.

Falzone says being able to communicate with this family by speaking Italian made for a unique and memorable experience.

"They going around guessing where they’re going and guessing who they’re going to encounter. I don’t know if they look for some Italian family or someone who can communicate well but you know its a nice adventure for them," said Falzone.

Falzone says that the young boy playing the violin is nine-years-old. The family has been playing in shopping areas in Iredell, Rowan, and Cabarrus counties.

They're accepting donations through the Cash App. You can leave a donation by entering the number 443-490-9068 into the application.
