GREENSBORO, N.C. – Race has been a huge topic of conversation for the 2020 presidential election, especially given the social climate that we are living in.

Zechariah Etheridge says he voted for Joe Biden because he says the former vice president has acknowledged that systemic racism is a problem, and thinks Black people will have more of an opportunity to be heard by Biden.

"Trump wants to literally eliminate cultural competency trainings because they are racist, which is the craziest thing I've ever heard," Etheridge emphasizes.

However, Trump supporter Trel Norfleet disagrees and says the President is receiving a lot of Black support for his strides in criminal justice reform, prison reform, and help for historically Black colleges and universities.

"I believe all lives matter. You can't just separate one group and just say, 'well Black lives matter'. So, what about every Black life matters, which includes police officers and babies," she says.

Polls across North Carolina will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday for Election Day.

Voters in line at 7:30 p.m. will be able to cast a ballot.
