Kaitlin Miller is a UCLA graduate and New York native. Prior to joining the Spectrum News team, Kaitlin spent time reporting at an ABC and Fox affiliate station in Montana. Come 2019, Kaitlin decided to make the move back to the east coast and embrace all that Greensboro has to offer. For her, Greensboro's proximity to the beach, mountains and city made the opportunity hard to turn down. Plus, Kaitlin attributes her love for the Greensboro community to the friendliness of the people within it, and their constant willingness to lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need.

A passionate reporter, Kaitlin is inspired by the opportunity to amplify other people’s voices, especially those who normally aren’t able to be heard. To illustrate, Kaitlin once covered the story of a 3-year-old girl named Addy Trevino, who was diagnosed with a rare tumor. Throughout Kaitlin’s ongoing coverage, she grew extremely close with the Trevino family and was able to help raise awareness for Addy’s condition, DIPG. While Addy passed away, the efforts of her family and Kaitlin’s coverage led to community wide support, along with donations to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center for Study which will ultimately help future families find a cure for this devastating disease. Using journalism as a tool to bring light out of darkness is the thing that will always inspire Kaitlin to keep amplifying the voices within her community.

A self-proclaimed beach girl, Kaitlin loves being able to escape to one of the beautiful North Carolina beaches whenever she gets the chance. Otherwise, it’s a safe bet that you can find Kaitlin out on the town exploring all of the hidden Greensboro gems.
