RALEIGH, N.C. — Early voting kicks off Thursday, and the Joe Biden campaign plans to kick off its push Sunday with a big name.
Stacey Abrams will join Labor Commissioner candidate Jessica Holmes and Lt. Gov. Yvonne Holley for a rally Sunday. While President Trump looks to hold large rallies in person, this Biden event will remain virtual.
Abrams rose to fame during her 2018 run for governor in Georgia. She became the first African-American woman to deliver a response to the State of the Union back in 2019.
On Saturday, Biden's campaign released ads featuring 14 Black mayors, including Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles
Early voting begins on Thursday and will run through October 31. If you did not register to vote before the October 9 deadline, you can register and vote during this period.
Absentee voting has been ongoing since September 4 and continues to set all kinds of records. Already, more than 440,000 absentee ballots have been received and accepted. More than 1.2 million absentee ballots have been received. October 27 is the deadline to request an absentee ballot, and it must be postmarked on or before election day which is November 3.
