GREENSBORO, N.C. – Breweries across our state have been impacted by the pandemic.

While some are surviving and maybe thriving, others breweries are suffering.

Mark Gibb, owner of Gibb's Hundred Brewing Company, was forced to close his doors for good last week after six years of being open.

Gibb says they tried to push through but after six months of losing 70 percent of they're business, he just couldn't survive.

Gibb emphasizes the support from the community is what's keeping him positive.

"I'm heartened by the kind of response we got when we announced that we had to close, and the number of people who came out and said that they really appreciated what we were doing. So, that was really nice to get that response," Gibb emphasizes.

Gibb says he opened the brewery to be a community hub and he hopes the events he's put on continue.
