COASTAL, N.C. -- Some North Carolina beaches have barred visitors following Hurricane Isaias. 

Ocean Isle

Ocean Isle issued a mandatory evacuation Saturday, which remains in effect. Property owners and contractors have been permitted to return.

The town lifted their curfew, but say it may be necessary to put it back in place. The beaches remain closed.

Oak Island

A manditory evacuation for non-residents will go into effect in Oak Island starting Wednesday at noon following substantial damage caused by Hurricane Isaias. 

All areas west of SE 40h Street on Beach Drive, Dolphin Drive and Pelican Drive and the side streets connecting to them must evacuate, including renters, vacationers, and guests.

Additionally, a curfew has been set for the entire towen from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. until further notice.

The beach is closed from SE 40th street to the west end of the island.
