BOONE, N.C. -- A family of three took to the trails recently, and hiked 77 miles of them.
After the coronavirus canceled all of their family trips, they found a way to travel and social distance.
The Foothills Trail ends at Table Rock State Park and takes hikers past many beautiful sights, including several waterfalls. The family says they saw very few people, and on some days they even hiked 12 miles.
While this trip was not one they planned to take, mother Jenna Crawley says it is one that brought them a lot closer.
"I cried because it was over. It was just like, 'wow, we did that,'" Crawley says.
