GREENSBORO, N.C. – The blueberry harvest season is underway, and some farmers say they've been busier than ever.

James Kenan says his blueberry crop is excellent this season, and says the mild winter really helped them out this year.

Kenan has five varieties of blueberries at his Greensboro farm, which range from early to late-season berries.

“It takes a long time to pick blueberries. We really don't make a lot of money off of blueberries, but it's a health food and it's a good draw to get people into the produce stand,” Kenan explains.

He says he and his wife's store, "Bernie's Berries," has been busier during the pandemic.
