DURHAM, N.C. – While many protests across the state and country turned violent this weekend, a number of North Carolina cities saw their mass gatherings remain peaceful.
Among the larger cities were Durham and Wilmington.
The peaceful protests even prompted encouragement from the Durham Police Department.
