Since April reports from the U.S. Bureau of Labor show Latinos have a jobless rate of 18.9 percent.

Local agencies say the majority of those without work is part of industries where Hispanics are heavily represented. 

“Most of the jobs significantly impacted by the virus are the world of retail, dining, and hotels," says Gabriel Bottazzi, medical clinic manager at Libott Consultorios Medicos. "And the Hispanic community seems to be very present in those work sites.”

Unemployment across the U.S. has climbed over 14 percent, the highest level since The Great Depression.
