GREENSBORO, N.C. – Muslims across the world are observing Ramadan this month. However, some say this year's celebration is different during the coronavirus pandemic.

The holy month is a time for fasting, prayer, and reflection in Muslim communities.

Members of the Islamic Center of Greensboro are struggling to maintain contact with each other amid the virus but are keeping the faith.

“We want people to follow the guidelines that will keep them safe so we can come together after all this is over," said Dr. Moussa Issifou, President of the Islamic Center of Greensboro. "So we can celebrate together.”

The Islamic Center of Greensboro plans to host a drive-through meal event on weekends. For more information visit its website.
