FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. —The Fayetteville Regional Airport has received some much-needed updates.
With more than 3,000 service members and their families traveling through the airport each month, the USO center now provides them with comfort, services, and amenities.
Officials say they are proud to support and reveal a new space that is run by an all-volunteer staff.
"It’s shiny, it’s new, it shows that we care and we invested in the time that our service members spent in this airport with kids with their families when they’re traveling overseas or on PCS," Sandhills Area Operations Director Brian Knight said.
The airport USO center got a fresh coat of paint, new counter tops, new furniture, high-speed internet, and a game room.
