FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department are responding to a reported shooting at the Burger King on Bragg Boulevard.

• One person was shot at a Fayetteville Burger King Monday morning.
• Police believe the victim of the shooting was attempting to rob the shooter.
• The person who was shot is expected to be okay.

According to the department, the person who was shot was attempting to commit a personal robbery in the parking lot.

The would-be victim of that robbery fired several shots, striking the robber once.

The person who was shot was transported to CFVMC with non life-threatening injuries.

There is no word on whether the shooter will face charges.
