CONCORD, N.C. – A second suspect has been arrested following a fight that led to the death of a 13-year-old girl at Concord Mills Mall.

Concord police say a 15-year-old suspect has been charged with first-degree murder and felony riot. Officers also say the suspect is an acquaintance of Dontae Black who was arrested on the same charges on January 1.

Three people were shot and one person, Aveanna Propst, later died from her injuries on December 28. Her funeral is planned for Saturday.

Hours before this shooting, her cousin Derron Jordan, 31, was shot and later died. The suspect in that case, 16-year-old Omarrion Hudson, was arrested in Connecticut.

Officers have not said whether these shootings are related. The investigation is ongoing.
