CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carowinds is being sued by federal safety officials.
This comes after officials found over six serious violations, costing the amusement park over $40,000 in fines.
Back in March, a worker was injured while working about 200 feet in the air on the WindSeeker ride. According to the South Carolina Department of Labor, the workers lost four fingers.
No word yet on what the exact violations are.
Carowinds released a statement to Spectrum News saying, “At Carowinds, nothing is more important than safety, as it is at the core of everything we do. We take these citations seriously and are responding accordingly to OSHA.”
