CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Frances Scibelli, the owner of Fran’s Filling Station in Dilworth needed a kidney back in March.

Well, she got one and is now recovering after surgery.

Fran has been battling kidney disease since 2017 and has been on dialysis for a year and a half.

Thankfully, the restaurant posted an update with the good news saying, "Fran's time on the waiting list had come to an end and she got her new kidney recently. Fran is well on her way to making a full recovery and gives thanks to all who shared her story, visited the restaurant and supported her through the process,” the post said.
