CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Emergency crews responded to an accident Sunday night at Charlotte Douglas International Airport that resulted in one person dying.
The OSH Division reports that a person was operating a tug while transporting baggage when the tug flipped and pinned 24-year-old Kendrick Hudson underneath.
Medical crews were able to respond quickly and transported the man to the hospital where he later died.
The airport is working closely with its airline partner to assist as needed.
The investigation could take four to six months.
American Airlines commented saying:
"American Airlines is deeply saddened by the death of one of our team members from Piedmont Airlines late last night. Right now our priority is caring for his family and for our team in Charlotte."
They went on to thank those who responded to the accident.
