The constant rain this spring is leading to more flooding concerns over water levels all along Lake Ontario.
On Tuesday, it was Oswego’s turn. State representatives visited the shoreline with local officials to assess the danger of flooding. They expect the water to rise another 6 to 7 inches.
They said the best course of action for residents and business owners is to take precautionary measures now to lessen the damage.
"Boaters and residents, just be patient,” Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow said. “We’re using city resources as best we can. We’re just trying to make the best of this situation.”
If anyone is concerned or needs help they’re encouraged to contact their local representatives.
