In the NinerNotice, it says the change is "a result of increased security measures and the resulting time necessary to get all guests in and out of Barnhardt Student Activity Center (Halton Arena)."
On Tuesday, two students were killed and four others were injured during a shooting in one of the university classrooms.
After the shooting, Chancellor Phil Dubois emphasized that those who were intending to graduate this month will still graduate.
All guests will have to go through metal detectors, and no large bags, umbrellas, banners or balloons will be allowed in the arena.
The 10 a.m. ceremony will continue as planned.
