Tito is a 16-month-old black lab acquired by the department to help build the relationship between children and deputies.

Deputy Madison Sharpe has been a part of the community school program since August, but says now with Tito, kids are even more comfortable coming up to him.

“And that means a lot to me, that these kids are starting to know me and come up to me but now having the dog, it increases their confidence coming up to me even more,” said Deputy Sharpe.

Tito is also trained in sniffing out drugs and searching for lost children and senior citizens.
