“They can just look at each other, and not speak, and know what each other is thinking,” Oliver’s mother Jill Pleune said.

Oliver has cystic fibrosis. His pancreas doesn't work and he's prone to lung infections. Each day before school he gets two hours of breathing treatments.

“He does have a cap on his life and it sort of gets worse as he gets older,” Pleune said.

Landen can see the impact it has on Oliver.

“I was thinking that it might not feel good to have all that stuff attached to you, and doing all that stuff every day,” Landen said.

A few months ago, when Oliver was in to the hospital, Landen visited with hundreds of cards. At that moment he decided the disease had to be stopped. He set a goal to raise raise $10,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“He always blows me away with his heart and how he thinks about others,” Landen’s mother Shelley Wilfong said.
