CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Classes are resuming today at Butler High School just three days after a student was shot and killed.

The 2,200 students who attend Butler High School began today around 7:15 a.m.

During the shooting Monday, it was a school resource officer who called for an immediate lock down, which is protocol.
CMS Superintendent Dr. Clayton Wilcox also confirmed at a school board meeting that he is reviewing safety protocols at the school with Matthews Police.
