Thursday brought another day of typical summer weather; hot and humid weather with scattered late day thunderstorms. You can expect more of the same as we head into the weekend.
Friday may be a couple degrees cooler, but afternoon highs will still be above normal. Any thunderstorms that develop during the afternoon and evening have the potential to produce heavy downpours, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning and strong damaging winds.
The weekend outlook offers little change so if you have outdoor plans your best bet would be early in the day when it’s cool and relatively storm free.
Monday looks about the same, but there are changes in the forecast for the rest of the next work week; near normal temperatures without those pesky afternoon thunderstorms.
