CHARLOTTE -- A York County Sheriff's detective was laid to rest today.
Detective Mike Doty was shot last week in a manhunt after a domestic call near York, S.C. He died the next day.

A celebration of life service for Doty took place on Calvary Church on Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte.
The procession left the church at around 1:15 p.m. for Doty's burial.
The graveside service was held at Forest Hills Cemetery of Rock Hill.
The sheriff's office says Doty spearheaded the Narcan program where officers carry the life-saving opioid antidote. Doty also taught high schoolers about law enforcement.
