BOONE, N.C. – Boone suffered some serious damage and flooding after severe storms Monday.
The Bavarian Village Apartments were so damaged they had to be condemned.
Rugs and kitchen flooring have been removed and there is still quite a bit of water damage.
Residents say they aren’t sure how they can come back from it.
“My apartment floors are outside the building. My fridge is in my living room," said resident Kaylie Younce. "Everything is stuffed into a corner. It’s not pretty. I’m not moving back in anytime soon.”
Winkler Creek, directly next to the apartment complex, overflowed when the heavy rains hit.
People are working together to clean up what was destroyed.
