CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One of the most popular spots in Rock Hill has moved to Uptown Charlotte, bringing its unique take on morning cuisine to 7th Street Public Market.
“I think what makes us different is we think of food kind of like a fine dining restaurant would, but we try to put it at a price point everyone can get,” Uptown Yolk chef Gregory Collier said. “And we kind of use breakfast as the canvas that we paint on.”
. Uptown Yolk specializes in finding the contrasting flavors, textures, and foods that bring a dish together.
“I like the kind of caramelization of things and I like how those flavors work out,” Collier said. “But I also like the sweet and savory counter balance of each other.”
